Fort Dearborn – Chicago Photo Forum International Photography Competition 2010 Awards

CHICAGO, IL – USA May 12th 2010 – Advertising Photographer Scott Bell of Mount Prospect, Illinois received an award of excellence at the Fort Dearborn- Chicago Photo Forum International Photography Competition 2010.

Nearly 700 photographers from 16 countries participated in the International Photography Competition 2010 hosted by Fort Dearborn – Chicago Photo Forum. The top 30 images were selected by esteemed professionals in the photography industry – Michael Bilbrey, art buyer from world-renowned advertising agency Leo Burnett, Bill Hurter, editor of Rangefinder and AfterCapture photography magazines and David Leigh, owner of Chicago art gallery, Morpho Gallery. The judges reviewed the submitted images online during a three week voting period before making their final selections.

Awards were presented in five categories – people, places, nature, still-life and alteration of reality. The thirty winners come from Argentina, Australia, Canada, Netherlands and 13 states in the U.S.

Awards will be presented at the print exhibit’s opening reception on June 4, 2010 at Morpho Gallery in Chicago
